Central School Question

    Ok, i have decided to go to centrals school. The problem i am having is not with central. I am having a problem with getting my social security card the small one. I have a certified letter from the social security off verifying my information and with my social security number. My question is why do they only want the little card and wont take the certified letter( this is what the recruiter keeps telling me) if somebody could please help me with this i would greatly apprecite it!

    You need to ask Central that question.. Though it probably has something to do with the acceptable proof needed for the I-9. That does state valid SSN Card.

    Why not just get a replacement card?

    I needed to get a replacement for mine because I had laminated it. Luckily there is a Social Security office here in Salt Lake, so it was a simple (and free) process to apply for a replacement. Took about a week for the replacement to arrive.

    I don't know where you live, but you could do an internet search with something like "How to get a replacement social security card" and see what pops up

    i have gone to the Social security office 3 times in the past week and they still cant find it i have not received it in the mail. I have been to a the post office and put a search out for it there also i have told my apt complex to keep a look out for it! I was just wondering why they could not accept the Certified, signed by the S.S. office, notorized, letter i have gotten from the S.S. office that has all of my information on it.

    the reason is really simple
    a notarised letter is notlisted as an acceptable form of proof of idenity on the above mentioned i-9 form
    if they accept that as proof of ssn and sign to that on the i-9 form they would be lying on a federal document and theyre not gonna lie for you
    you just have to wait til you get your new card
