How much was your cab fare to the hotel from the bus terminal. I guess the terminal is in the ghetto just like it is everywhere else in the U.S. lol

Kinda quite on here, huh?

My cab fare was $33.16 with Atlas Cab, $36.00 with the tip. It's funny tho, other drivers only paid $20 with Yellow Cab, so I thought that I was going to be screwed, but come to find out they reimbursed me the cab fare with no questions asked. So that was cool, and they did it on the first day of orientation, so you'll get your money back right away.
The second day of orientation was good, and I have to say that this really has been the best experience that I have ever had with any orientation! We started the morning like always with a good breakfast then were bussed to the terminal at 8am. You have a number of classes that you go over on your second day, really stuff that you'd expect to go over. We all picked our trucks today off of a list of trucks that they had in stock, and everyone seemed pleased with their selection. Lunch was at a local pizza, salad and pasta buffet, which was really decent if I might say so. After orientation was over at 4pm, we headed back to the hotel to relax and grab a bite to eat.
It really seems to be the concensus of all of us new guys that this is a really stand up company. Everyone at ACT seems to be very friendly and laid back! We have yet to find where we have been lied to, and that makes a lot of us feel more at ease about the decision that we have made to come here. All in all, I give it two thumbs up.
Just my .02logisticlymissplaced, countryboy3 and EasyMoney025 Thank this. -

Well guys my recruiter called me today with some trucks that were available and said that they like to pre assign trucks before you get there. The one i chose is already at the yard so i dont know if that means that i am going to def have that truck but i got the specs on it, truck number, miles, color, apu on/off, year all that good stuff. It sounds like the truck of my dreams lol so i hope it is in fact the one i get. We shall see i am leaving sat. afternoon haha.

I really think that you will think that this is by far the best experience that you have had with any other orientation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, you have my number. I have found that everything that they have said to me has been the truth, so I really think that you will be happy!! But, please let us know how things are going.
