What thread do I need to search to get info on how to get my speaker back working after the major date they had a while back?
-
Sam should be contacting you shortly. I am in and out the last few days and in the upcomming week.
Thanks,
Mark -
Updates for versions come out about every 4 months. The next version is in QA right now.
Construction. Even thought it is or looks finished, until DOT signs off on the paperwork it is still considered construction. Rand keeps this constant on what is finished or not via a reporting system.
What area are you showing construction finished?
Thanks,
Mark -

This is not helpful. A line in featureless landscape with no zoom controls doesn't tell me anything about where it's taking me.

For comparison:

Graphical errors.

Hey, let's go get tires.

Erm, guess not. Good thing I have backup.

I have this GPS and let me tell you, it's wrong most of the time! I have to double check everything that #### GPS tells me. It will try to take me on Non Truck Routes and other areas we just can't go, bottom line IT SUCKS and I will be replacing it soon.

How about some details?
Thanks,

Yeah, it's pretty bad. I haven't' used it for much but if they'd take a look at it, most of what's in there has nothing to do with trucking. It's supposed to be a truck only gps so whoever is supplying the POI's should concentrate on things related to trucking. Having all that other stuff in there bogs the unit way down trying to search through it all. If they wanted to leave it in there, they could at least separate it out into its own section away from what we'd normally be looking for.
No, you really can't. If you do, it goes to the map and then the only way out is back to the default screen. You have to start over again for no reason. That's been brought up many times and never fixed.
I'd have to look at those again, I don't remember what they were. There's just no point in this view at all as it doesn't tell you anything useful except for the time and distance. But look at the difference between the two units at the same point on the same route.
There's also a long stretch of highway in ND or SD, us 83 I think, where the speed limit on the unit drops to 45 in town then doesn't come back up when you leave town. It thinks the limit is 45mph for miles and it tried to avoid that stretch by going way around for the whole route. It does the same thing when it doesn't know what the limit is. Both units do that. That's how I figured out why it's doing that.Last edited: Dec 10, 2011
