Grinder I did not say one negative thing about you personally. So why did you attack me? If you are so great why don't you go drive for another company. I never acted like my #### don't stink. And I was unaware that they were putting cams in random trucks. So I am sorry that your ignorance has led you to believe that every post someone makes talking in a general sense is aimed at you. Are you that insecure? Believe me if you want an enemy buddy you got one. And I am sick and tired of the saying super trucker. I am a good reliable driver just like many others. I have my own opinions on how my business should be and is conducted. I have only been driving for 2.5 years but in 6 more months I will begin working my way out of a job. I am a third gen. driver and literally grew up in a 379. So technically I have been involved in this industry longer than you have been driving. And technically I wasn't wrong. An accident led them to put a camera in your truck, it wasn't there at random. So I apologize for calling drivers who have accidents screw ups. And I'm sorry you take my posts so personally. When they were aimed toward an entire group of people. If it upsets you so much I'm sure roehl will throw a newbie in your truck tomorrow.

Shout out to the mechanics in Gary, I've never seen anything like it. It seems like anyone of them could walk by you, see that deer in the headlights look, and ask you what you need. None of that resentment about truckers being lazy and not checking tire pressure and screwing up the trucks. Good people in Gary maintenance.

And when we ask you about safety and compliance, recite the correct answers.

No, they don't pay you for being here...

you crack me up, recite the correct answers is not always the right thing to do. If you make a mistake with your HOS just own it. Lying just digs that hole deeper.

The just do what you go refers to the lot lizzards, they're just trying to earn a buck. And that "stimulates" the economy in more ways than one because after you pay them you get to pay your insurance company for cleaning up whatever you just caught.

Not w/roehl now 929, and am out of trucking now and yes a newbie is already in my truck. I don't need enemies life is to short. You apologized for calling drivers screw ups and you did the right thing.. The issues that you forementioned about the FMCSA makes trucking a less desirable profession. I doubt if I will return but the right to privacy is beyond trucking and is something I will continue to feel strong about. As long as your living in that truck and they have other ways to monitor your driving w/o the cam, taking footage/audio of you inside the cab is not an issue to be passive on. I called you super trucker and you called me ignorant so were even...

I agree with the long layover issue, that seems to be a real problem for my hubby. He can be out there 3 weeks too and never get more than an average of 1800 miles because of it! You really can't make any money that way. Also agree with the detention pay issue. Who knows, we're new at this, but sure would like to get longer hauls when on the road that long!

I got news for you rookie I've been reading this whole thread, I have over 20 years in out here. My wife does not drive a truck, but she has rode more miles with me than you could ever guess. While riding with me and at home she does a lot of grunt work giving me a better down time. So for you to think a truckers wife don't have a clue showes us that you are a clueless rookie. Like the lady said get some miles and years under your belt before you run your mouth. It is rookies on here that make it hard for drivers to get better jobs. Just this year I had one of the best driving jobs to be had, the corp actully the investment company that ownded it sold out pocketed the cash and kicked all us drivers to the curb. Now several drivers with 20 plus years are tring to find a decent job and they can not be found. To me this sounds like just another company that is pocketting ALL the money and not taking care of those that they excpect to take care of them. Riddle me this what makes your opion woth a hoot. Rookie
