I thought about the BFH idea, but then I would end up getting stuck with the repair bill knowing my luck lol. I know what will end up happening though, they will finally get the truck fixed up good, and then I'll get the call that my new truck is ready
On a good note; Appleton got the truck in and got the issues fixed that I wrote it up for this time, and they said one of the reasons the trans is messing up is because with was improperly adjusted and to much grease was used, and the clutch brake was full of grease, now I just have to get to the scale and find out how much over weight my load is, thanks to the shipper giving me a preloaded (overloaded) trailer lol... This reminds me so much of the Infantry :smt066

my trucks back in working order...the turbo whine sounds different though as if its spinning faster than before...hopefully my fuel milage picks up...but I am not sure...they took the truck to Freightliner for warrenty work on the engine and tranny...I finally have a clutch brake that band my clutch pedal feels tighter and the stick alot smoother and tighter too... although I think I may have to go back to the shop...my driver side tank is leaking fuel from the hole they put the new fuel sender...I am hoping to get by until I get to appleton in the coming weeks... but my baby is back to tip top condition for the most part....
Oh and on another note the new trucks keep rolling in, they have one side of the maint facility in marshfield full of new trucks getting the stickers and crap put on..they got quite a few cascadias rolling in right now...so things are looking up...and for those guys with 9400s looks like you will be seeing a new truck soon judgeing by all the old 9400s in the out process line getting decals and stuff removed...so hang tight... and the word from the Maint guys in Marshfield is the old blume trucks will be on there way out here shortly too..so hang on Notez....I see a new truck in your future... -
Nice to hear about the Blume trucks since my MPG's are worthless and its starting to use oil now.

Wonder if rollin's husband has a truck yet...I'll donate mine to the cause...
well its back to working order...hopefully for a while...it sucked waiting at truck country...now I need some sleep...zzzzz -
That's not right at all! My hubby ended up with a "sold" truck too! You wouldn't believe what POS looks like, but its the way the pedals are that are the issue and worries me. His legs are too long for the way it is set up and it's really beyond uncomfortable to drive the thing! Oh well, I'm sure they really don't give 2 hoots, just figure he wants a "new" one, when he'd gladly just take a different one. We "strongly" believe that the new ones should be offered to the seasoned drivers first. That just isn't right that brand new drivers are driving out of training with new trucks. The cost of fixing them has has nothing to do with it. I thought this company cared about keeping their drivers happy. They may end up with some pretty angry long-term drivers that would have liked and certainly "earned" that new truck!

Thanks Mic, who knows it may at least not be painful to drive.....LOL
I hope you guys get one of new shiny trucks you keep seeing or hearing about. You most certainly deserve one! -
Rollin... just tell him to hang in there. Those new ones are coming and going pretty fast.
Is your husband tall? Not sure any truck I have ever driven was designed for anyone above 5' 8". I'm 6 ft with long legs and the Freightliners always made me sit too high and now with my International I can sit lower, but my legs always seem a little crunched for my liking.
As for the new trucks... He might be better off not having one for a while. My new one is giving me fits and I'm going to have to get it in for warranty work and get a loaner. Not looking forward to that, but someone has to break (or go broke? Not sure there) each one in. -
I'm 6'2 and my freightshaker is okay on the comfort department....I tend to turn my left turn signal off when I clutch though.....sounds like he got an old 9400i if its sold already...don't worry he won't have it for long...(couple weeks to a month)...mine is still kinda acting up...fuel milage is atrocious (3mpg)...and still kinda weak...funny part is the collar on the tank from the fuel sending unit repair is leaking too...FML...well I will be back at a shop after the weekend getting it looked at again...its quickly becoming a shop queen...

mic
look under your seat wher it attaches to the slider
i took out the 4 nuts and moved the seat back 2 holes
gave me an extra 2 inches
and wasnt an issue with maint long as i retightened the lock nuts downMic Thanks this. -
LOL, I did the same thing to my Century because I'm 6'1" and all legs. I have to sit with the back of my knees above the seat cushion because I have circulation issues.
