    as for the sand,gravel,cement industry in south florida.... still screwed.. no work and bad pay for whats there.

    all was well in the boom times 4 years ago.. grossing 3-5k a week local, home every night not bad.

    i still remember the big quarry's in us-27(okechoobe) 3 years ago the lines of dump trucks never ended... now its like 5-6 trucks in them and its hard to find a loader.

    and they have to try to bribe them with a bonus...............

    They might be the only ones now charging drivers to idle but I bet they won't be the only ones by this time next year. If you live north of Tampa and you have experience and a clean driving record then do yourself a favor and check out Poly Trucking out of Grand Prairie Texas, they pay by the hub @ .45cpm to start because all drivers make the same pay there. I don't work there because they wouldn't hire me since I live 80 miles south of I-4 but I'd almost consider moving north a little if I needed a new job. I have a good friend that works for them and he has nothing but good things to say, check'em out and good luck.
