I stand by what I say.
I will ask YOU were does it say they have this magically right to stick a hidden camera in the truck I drive AND LIVE IN WHILE ON THE ROAD (CHANGE CLOTHES AND SLEEP) for them just cause they own it.
Sorry buddy. But your wrong. There is no way they are allowed to stick hidden video or audio surveillance in a truck with out telling the driver.
They change clothes in that truck. They sleep in the truck. Which in turn means they have personal time in the truck. This means they have a right to privacy.
I can see dash cameras being there. But they are NOT HIDDEN Nor is there HIDDEN AUDIO surveillance installed.
Here are SOME LAWS. Feel free to read them.
You will find that you can NOT record video and audio with out telling someone even if you own the truck. Because of the simple thing you do every day in the truck, change your clothes. OR ON OCCASION, USE THE BATHROOM (IE PISS IN BOTTLE). This is not a secret in the industry. This means the truck owner is aware of it cause it is common knowledge that truckers pee in bottles. This means he can not record you.
Now if you are in a office setting its a whole different story. Or a ph recording, they will record everything over ph and it all gets saved.
Were money exchanges hands, they are watching and recording. Were people are considered in the open, they are recording and so on.
But read some of the links I posted.
There are your laws.
I change my clothes in the truck.
I take my 34 hour re start in the truck.
I have pee'ed in a bottle in the truck.
They can not use anything against you if they are dumb enough to record you. See the Bush beer link in there abut their court case regarding the dope smoking at work.

What about rubbing one out while driving, is that a recordable event? (he asks hopefully)
-
that's acceptable, as long as there is LOTS of traffic.

I can go round and round with this!

yup, the hidden part is going to be a problem.MandieMD Thanks this.

The camera only activates from abrupt motion/so maybe some lot lizard action could activate it but personal time should nt get recorded...
not that I m a fan.
Gps blocker may work as long as one does nt get popped for proof of tampering... -
Might be helpful if people would post names of companies known to have in cab facing cams.
