What is an alcohol permit ? For a gathering/party or what ?
-
My company always faxed them to me
SchBusDrvr Thanks this. -
The permit allows you to transport alcohol in a particular state or region.

OK, got it. So, this isn't taken care of prior to loading ?
-
it is taking care of beforehand. the company should give each truck a copy of the permit. when i hauled liquor, i think i had like 7-10 different permits.

We have our alcohol permits in our permit books in the truck. Haul quite a bit of Miller/Coors.

This will not work for Maryland, you need a business card size permit and they require the original. You can't unload beer or liquor in Maryland without it. I loaded beer last summer for a Maryland delivery, I did not read the q-com load information as closely as I should have. The people there refused my shipment and I had to wait til my company could overnight one to me.

New Jersey requires a trip-specific permit only if you're delivering alcohol to New Jersey. Found that out the hard way.
