No, they wont put in a report unless you are hired. Companies dont enter dac's unless you were actually employed with them. The worst they can do is shred the application, which they would have done anyway if you were honest about some things you didn't have to be up front about.

If given the option to be honest on something and not get the job because of it, or lie about something with a good chance I wont get caught and allowing me to get the job, I am lying everytime... just saying

I thought pre-employment disqualifications were able to go on there. For instance if you failed the company pre-employment drug test wouldnt that go on under that companies 20/20 Insight on your dac?

a drug test is different because it is DOT regulated, they have to report that if you fail or refuse it to the DOT etc. I have never known or heard of a company issuing a DAC report for someone they never hired though. I am sure its happened somewhere but I dont think its common at all.

Thanks for all the replies, I don't have any issues to deal with besides no diploma/ged. I have a clean driving record and background, no drug or alcohol issues and so on.

I've never been asked to show a diploma. I also have never seen or heard of a company requiring one. Yes they do have the question on the applications, but if your honest and say no you are not a high school graduate, I have a serious doubt it's a job killer. These starter companies need warm bodies and lots of them. I just don't see any of them adding another unnecessary stumbling block in this process. As always however if in doubt call the company and simply ask, you will get a simple answer most likely in a matter of minutes.

This thread sure pulled you out of the Wood Pile huh Greaseball?

Having a HS diploma or GED in and of it's self isn't necessarily what an employer is looking for but hiring managers are looking for a person who has aquired the skills necessary to achieve such a goal. It is called being able to jump through the hoops.

What I am saying is that our society as a whole looks down on people who do not have a HS diploma and that is why I said, " who cares" and that the OP should just get the paper and be done with it.

Why? Because companies have every right to verify any detail listed on an application for employment. Every trucking company will have different protocols on what, if anything, they will verify but it is not uncommon for employers to verify a candidates highest level of education obtained and if a diploma was achieved, and that would include a high school diploma or GED.

Therefore it would be best to advise aspiring applicants to provide factual information when filling out an employment application because I have had the very unpleasant task of rescinding an employment offer months after the applicant had already been offered and had accepted a job because of an educational falsification on an employment application and that happened on more than one occasion. The HR employees that overlooked the falsification were also let go.

Unless it's your first job I couldn't imagine anyone even checking.

The ability to obtain a CDL shows at least a GED level education in my opinion. It may not prove mathematical skill, but I bet there are high school graduates that can't grasp axle weight calculations. So job specific skills need to be evaluated during an interview process anyway.

I have seen applications that ask for high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. LoL. It simply isn't as relevant for a 40 year old to have a diploma as it is a 20 year old. Hell, for the most part I don't even remember high school. How relevant could my diploma be?
