I am considering buying either a 2007 W900L or a 2007 T600. I currently own a w900L daycab and getting ready to go OTR FB and trying to decide which one would be a better fit for me.
I know the T600 will or should get better mpg, but wanting to hear from some who have drove them.
The T600 has a C-15, 475, 13 sp, not sure about the W900L.
Advice and Suggestions are needed here PLEASE!!
THANKS!!

There is no choice when up against a W9, King of the Highway!

Just different hoods

I'd like to know where the weak spots are on these trucks. inhave one near me for cheap because the owner is needing $$$ -
Either one would be a good truck. Both exactly the same trucks from the firewall back. I wish I had gotten a W900L but I like my truck a lot even so. One drawback of T600 is the aero fairings down the sides will get loose and flop nothing that can't be remedied but aggravating all the same.

Yeah either one would be a nice ride, but if I'm gonna have a kenworth I gotta have a studio. I had a 2008 w9 with a studio and she was a blast to drive

Really it all depends on YOU I had an 88 t-600 pulling open flats and I really liked it. It scaled loads easily ands got good fuel mileage. I now have a 379 Pete with I like also but doesn't scale out as nice and doesn't get as good of fuel mileage. The reason I got it is that we do a lot of our own work and that t-6 was a pig to work on plus the mid 80's K-W were famous for fuse panel issues(1500$ For a new one) If I was doing OTR work and wasn't doing my own maintenance a t-6 is what I'd own. BTW if your daycab has specs that would work OTR I'd look into modifying(adding a a bunk, mild stretch) it. 07 aren't exactly the banner years for fuel mileage or reliability with any engine.Good luck with your choice.

Another drawback to T600 is the expense of upping horsepower/torque beyond 550/1850. The 3 core radiator is too small only 10 gals total coolant capacity. Will have to be upgraded. W900 flash it with a stage 1 pdi tune and go...

A T600 will not get as many miles on steer tires as a W900. And it will also wear out shackle bushings and king pins faster. A T600 carries more weight on the front axle than a W900. Personally I like the looks of the W900 alot better, thats why I own one and not a T600. I think pulling a flatbed the truck won't make a huge difference in fuel mileage, the loads you haul will make a bigger difference. Buy which ever one you like better.

He's right about the steers and bushings... Grease my kingpins every week, so far so good still original 1.06 million miles and counting.

Wow, your doing very good then. Most guys I know don't even get 600,000 out of king pins on a t6. But they grease every 7500. A good freind of mine is on his third set in his t6 with 1.3 million. Still on my original ones with 1.1
