Will my luck my DM is going back to being a planner for the Northeast and Southeast. Once again I have to train another DM the way I like to run. Hopefully my miles will stay the same.

My student is doing great Thank goodness he is clean. By the way TIGGER it was great seeing you and Monica last night we will have to get me you and SPAT together to have a OCD party. Headed to the Black hole (Lancaster Yard). Hopefully get load out of there quick after I see my girlfriend for a few.

Big question for you guys that are current hires: How was the bus ride down? Im looking at almost 27 hour trip from Michigan, and I dont know if I will be able to have a "new bus" with Wi-fi or not. My gf thinks I will go crazy and hate everyone by the time I get there, but I dont know if its worth the money to fly. It would really squeeze my wallet to take a plane down, but is it worth it to be more rested/less irritable?

(Keep in mind I will be leaving Jan 1st to start class on Jan 3rd. Greyhound+New Year's=???)

I don't work for FFE but as someone who has taken a bus for a trucking job if you have the means to fly I would. Most companies will reimburse you whatever it cost for a bus ticket so anything over that you'll have to eat.

I can guarantee you that you will not ride the same bus the whole trip. So you never know what you will get. Might get a new bus for one leg and then and old the next. I got a new bus and none of the outlets worked. I think that sucked more than an old bus lol.

If you dont get a new bus most stations have charging areas for when you have a layover. Not as handy as a new bus but you do what you can, ya know.

I usually read a book, listened to my mp3 player, had one that takes batteries, and talked to other truck drivers. I guarantee there will be a couple on the way for various companies maybe even yours.

Just a heads up and the crowds can be random as well. Had some legs of the trip with a half empty bus and some legs where every seat was full. You really never know.

btw good luck in your new career

Uh...drift. One of the worst 2 1/2 days of my life. I would sell my plazma and a kidney to be able to fly. You will get the cost of the bus ticket on your first check.

    FREEZERGEEZER and driftjunke24 Thank this.

Well, i have been thinking about going FFE, as far as bus ride, i took one once from Seattle to Corpus, never again lol but this time i will fly down, but thats because i got family in the airlines, so im flying down to Dallas from Seattle for 48 bucks...but you may want to try Amtrak, they are comfortable and have food onboard, and takes less time then a bus but not as expensive as a plane...

Aright, thanks for the advice fellas. I considered busing a cheap way to see the country, and maybe fun to stop off in a couple cities, but since I value a sane state of mind and longer time with my loved ones on New Years Eve...I scored a ticket from Grand Rapids to Dallas for 215 bones. If FFE reimburses me the 105 for a bus ticket, than thats not too bad I guess :)

Another question though, do I have to take a cab to the hotel?
