Yeah thats what they called them!
It was kinda cool to remember the difference between van frieght and refer frieght, got to the shipper, she handed me the bills, told me to back into a door, loaded in 20 mins.
pulled out expecting to have to wait for somebody to seal it and check it, instead just waived bye to me!
Got to the receiver, guy was outside, told me what door to back into, unloaded in 20 mins, lady came out, signed the bills and I was on my way!DocRox and tankerman1974 Thank this. -
And that's the way it should be. In and out with no *rap. This whole bull*hit sitting for hours on end is retarded and uncalled for. Its just a way for these reefer shippers and receiver to #### the driver. And why because they can.

Well, I got my "approval for hire" from JBS! Not sure about the whole "forced per diem thing" though. May be a deal breaker for me.
Lots of things to like about JBS and a few things not to like. I guess it's that way everywhere, huh?
So far I have "approvals for hire" from:
JBS
KLLM
May Trucking
Stevens
Any advice, other than stay away from Stevens? -
I don't know about the other companies. But the medical/dental and what not insurance is very affordable on the family plan side. And from what I know on stevens I would stay way way from them. But if your a beginner I personally would goto jbs. For 2 reasons affordable health insurance and the trucks are like almost new if not new. I have a 2012 kenworth T700. My issues here are not with the equipment or benefits. I have my own personal issues with being here. But yea if your a beginner. I would goto jbs from your list you have. The Gryphon Thanks this.

Alphbetical order would be best , easier to keep track of.
If you want to haul lots of JBs meat plant loads go with KLLM , its been a month since I got an actual drop n hook out of Worthington (it was even ready an hour early !)
Butter n cheese, hyrum-denver.
tators Monte Vista Co -Winter Haven Fl
, ice cream Fl to Chicago
and now my final load Pinnacle Foods , Effingham illinois, to King Soopers Aurora Co.

I wish you the best wherever you end up at KLLM, But I would not expect to see a ton of JBS Freight after the new year at KLLM. considering The former President of JBS was from KLLM and before him they hardly pulled squat here, now that he is gone and annual negotiations are in the process I would say that there are a few contract carriers that will not be around after the new year as far as JBS BEEF and PORK are concerned not like you will be missing out on anything lol.
Well Day 6 sitting with my thumb in my ###, go figure. 72 hours in Green Bay, a 34 in Rochelle Il, sat for a day in Marhsalltown, and when I finally leave here it will be closer to 84 hours in WHOLLY freakin crap it is cold in GREEN BAY.
I will not comment on my true feelings on this until I calm down enough to think rationally I am staying to myself while i am on the lot in order to keep from going to jail you take what you want from that and now you know what my state of mind is.
Anywho Everyone be safe, and ALWAYS remember you have to look out for number one first, no one else will.....Jarhed1964, tankerman1974 and DocRox Thank this. -
I know but I ain't sayin.
