Hey bigman do you know if pgt is getting the bid on the slabs commingle out of the port in Baltimore coming up here to coatesville? Fraley and shilling has it now but the customer isn't happy and pgt or TMC are the two big companies bidding.

 

I had a chance to work for this company last winter/early spring and blew it. I haven't gotten another offer since. I'm still kicking myself for screwing it up. It wasn't all me but now I'm sorry for not taking advantage of it. I have a lady friend who was hired a few weeks before I was to attend orientation and last I heard from her was nothing but praise for how she was getting along with them. I have tried several more times to get approved with them and no go.

I was approved for orientation recieved a bus ticket the whole nine. My other half was scheduled to have exploratory surgery. She whined for me to go with her instead of leaving to go on the road. So I told them to give me a few weeks to take care of my matters. After that I called back to get another chance and the recruiter told me they weren't hiring. I talked with another recruiter and told him what the situation was and he asked me was I ready to go in five days. I said could I get 10. Reason being I didn't have a penny to my name. I wasn't going anywhere with out money in my pocket. "Read to many threads for that." So he said he would make a note and someone would get back it never happened.

Sorry bout your luck big guy, but in this bizzz, you'll be hard prested for many companies to front you some dough to eat on, unless they stick it on the fuel card. Besides dont feel kicked to the curb to much, because i've been at my current company for the better part of 6 yrs, and was told that i could'nt even get an advance of $20 when i needed it, sometimes thats just the way it is in the truck'in world.
