Can't verify any truth to this, only stating what I heard. It sounds a little bizzare to me. Stopped at a greasy spoon on the highway for some food. In the booth behind me I heard 2 people talking. One of them called CRST about CDL School and employment. Supposedly, for an unknown reason the recruiter hung up on him while he was in mid-sentence. Why would a recruiter do this? I would think that these recruiters receive a high volume of calls everyday. Especially at a training company the size of CRST.

Recruiter probably had bigger fish to fry. Most recruiter, if they are freelance, work on commission only. They talk to hudreds of people a day. The second they realize you're not employable, for whatever reason, they move on.

Also you heard it second hand and from a disgruntled wanna be driver. He may only be telling a story to keep from admitting he isn't eligible for hiring.

Never experienced a rude recruiter at CRST however I can tell you from first hand experience that they don't follow up on a prospective new hire after spending several hundred dollars on him/her. Actually it was a blessing in disguise. Not going to tell folks they are horrrible and not to go there however I will say that it was amusing to sit through the 4 days of orientation and listen to all of the policies they have then see them being violated when on break by observing the drivers in the break area i.e. dress code, pets on property, you name it! I've also noticed in these posts that every single CRST post has a rebuttal by someone who loves it there and defends every single action. That is a good thing however don't ya think the effort could be put to better use attempting to correct some of the problems??
