Is this good or bad. I do not understand your point. I think it would be very hard to make a living with your posted mileage.

I wish you good luck and safe miles.

It's not really meant to be good or bad. I'm being paid training pay anyway right now. This is just meant to give an idea of what to expect when you start in the business.
I have to wait on my trainer to pick me up in Columbia, SC each week, he lives in Greensboro, NC. Factor that in and you will see that I haven't been leaving home til late afternoon early evening on our first day out each week which definitely affects mileage for the remainder of the week. I think mileage after I get out on my own should be pretty good and Epes will get me back home every week too.

Don't get your hopes too high on miles at Epes. They are a good company to work for, but the money is just not good when you are at the bottom of the pay scale. During my 7 months there this year I barely averaged 2000 miles per week. Did a lot of sitting and lots of short hauls. Nice people and equipment but bringing home $500 per week and sometimes less just didn't work for me. I had a few good weeks, but not very many. Good luck!

I would say its hard when they are routing his limo to Columbia, SC picking him up late afternoon Monday and by Wednesday already working on routing them back to Greensboro via Columbia so he and his trainer can have the weekend off. Sounds like a heck of a company, my first company was also a regional carrier and I too got back to the house every weekend, but I had to drive to the terminal to meet my trainer late Sunday night or early Monday morning and I we would get back to the terminal sometime Friday or Saturday. If weather was a factor, we just stayed on the road.

Training is, well, training. I think I may be getting on my trainers nerves as much as he is getting on mine. He's not teaching me anything new at this point, pouted at me today for making a mistake on some paperwork - he seemed shocked that I made a mistake, I'm a trainee for crying out loud.
I'm getting 100% of the seat time on all our trips. I have from day one, which has been great and I need more. I'm just ready to be on my own, get into my own rhythm and routine and get my own truck and get comfortable in it. I want to be a solo trucker! lol Two more training weeks to go....
