I've been toying with the idea of jumping into the Truck of Fire for a while and am at a point, at my age (60) if I don't do it I may never get to it.
So far, I've heard only kind words about Schnieder. This is good due to the absolute horror stories I read about other outfits.
I need to save some money so I won't owe my soul to the company store.
Probably in the spring.
Schneider looks good...

Up front..... I work for them.
I'm younger than you and have decided to slow down and enjoy my life a bit more. So they have been a good fit at this point in my life.
Schneider offers many "programs" to fit your needs as a driver. I would recommend them to anyone searching for a flexible company.
You're not going to get rich. But I doubt that's what you're looking for in a company LOL. -
i only heard good things about schneider
-
Since 1991, I have heard a lot of bad stuff about Schneider. Today though it is about survival. Schneider, JB, and several of the larger companies have turned their act around. Are these great companies? Far from it! They do seem to have happier employees though.
God, I remember those 55 mph cabovers blocking the right lane like a pumpkin on wheels. Oh yes, the jokes about the people that drove for them too WHOOHOO......GOODTIMES.........GOODTIMES!!!!! -
Well i work for Schneider also and if your looking for a company that has steady freight and is safety oriented then schneider is a good choice. I've been there 7 plus years and have no major complaints. once you learn Schneider ways you'll do fine.

EVERY company has some not so good things, but the GOOD companies have more good than bad. I currently work for Schneider and so far, the good reviews have been spot on. Come on and join us in the patch.

If you are looking for the perfect company it doesn't exist. But there are some good companies and Schneider is a good fit for me. Good Luck in your decision and be safe. Merry Christmas too!!!!!!!!!

I'm attending school in So Cal and there are 4 Companys that this school prequalfies you for: Swift, Werner, Schneider, and Covenant. I've heard sooo much negitive stuff on Werner and Swift that I'm a little hesitant. How bout the others??? As a " Newbie", I know home time will be limited, and I'm fine running for 6-8 weeks at a shot. I'm not into the local stuff.
Which would be the best fit for me in your opinion. I dont want to get "Trapped" in a company without having investigated all my options, both pro & Con.
Thanks for your help,
