This depends on the industry. Gasoline haulers average about $250 a day and are home everynight. Oil haulers that work for Plains oil LLC average about $90k a year. OTR drivers are basic stupid ###e$ that average about $50k a year and spend 30% in truckstops because they are gone a month or more at a time. I have experience in hauling gas and oil and like a stupid ##### i am OTR. I guess sometimes money just doesn't matter.........lol.....NAAAA!!!! It totally matters. I just can't seem to find any other job that will put up with my wanting to travel so much!!!!

No thats top out for extraboard linehaul. Im 53.5 now and all get a 1.25 cpm raise first of the year. Still 7.50 to break and hook sets. Think you guys are about highest pay and we are somewhere in the middle.

They pay us hourly to hook and break down sets, which leads to guys abusing it, taking an hour to hook a set.

Same abuse on hooks & breaks here. Some think lowering landing gear on back pup, pulling the dolly pin, and unhooking the air lines constitutes a break. Think theyre the same ones that drag the back pup 20 ft with the legs down to make sure its really hooked. Then they still dont get underneath and visually check it. D.A.'s

Do you work out of Greenwood, IN? That terminal is very nice. I have been in there quite a few times.

Tanker was much better years ago until those "orange trucks" and a few unnamed others got involved. Ive read where theyre targeting the oil fields now and ruining that too.
