Our company runs 2x R580s and 2x R500s (2003 and 2005 models), and has owned them since new. The only time we ever had a heat issue was when some idiot cooked one of the R580s when a hose burst and he wasnt monitoring his gauges.
The trucks run all over Australia, and we've never had any overheating issues -
Thanks for the reply,
Can I ask you is the topline cabs considered too heavy over there, the reason for all the questions is I'm thinking of exporting a couple of scanias over to there, would a 6*2 configuration sell? -
Cant say I've seen them on the road, the Toplines. Might see a highline occasionally but majority are normal cabs
Most configurations run 6x4 or 4x2 -
4*2's?? I thought your axle weights would limit those. Plenty on those going cheap around here. Do u know if the toplines cause weight problems on the front axle over there?
-
4x2s are fine for lighter loads....up to 9 tons on the drive - and they are much easier to move in tight spaces. I don't know about weight on front axles with the Toplines if that's why we dont see any over here.
It is listed on the Scania Australia site but who knows
