Well I for one would the if Randy flow there he should have conducted the meeting. But that is just me. Safety going safety meetings. As for the batts I hope you have hazmat and the trl mark. As for hauling food after a good washout, soap and water not just a quick spray out that bb does should be good enough for the next load.

Cruisin up I-81 today I went by the Utility dealer and what do I see?
Rows of shiny new CRST refers!
Now that those bottom feeders are gettin in the refer game, good luck tryin to get a good paying run!DocRox Thanks this. -
If anybody picks up at Boaz, DO NOT trust the BOL!
My load said 37K, I fueled up and scaled out at 80140!
Axles were maxed out, had to move the fifth wheel, thought I moved it far enough...............got pulled into the scale in VA, still over!
Luckily the bear let me try and slide my fifth wheel all the way forward and run back over the scales!DocRox Thanks this. -

Goldwing Guy The Battery load you are picking up is NOT Hazmat, the battery cases are what you are getting the contents on the inside have been washed out i have hauled that load before and get used to CH Robinson we use them often.
As for the the Green Bay Terminal Manger conducting the Safety class he actually has more experience in the trucking industry than Randy.
He is the former comptroller from Packerland, and He was there for a long time he worked for Jerry Shelton when he ran packerland after Con agra Bought Montfort, He and Jerry have both been around for sometime, I would rather sit through his class than anything Randy does.DocRox Thanks this. -
Thanks Doc Holiday, I was an owner operator at Packerland for a couple of years so I do know That marty has been in the industry for awhile and I do respect his knowledge of the trucking industry. I just thought the safety guy should be doing the meeting and if he isnt then why is he the safety director anyway? I didnt end up getting the battery load, I had to finish a break first and couldnt get there to pick it up. I appreciate the info on the battery loads thouigh.

They won't be shiny long. They'll probably get back out of the reefer game in a year when they realize they can't run reefer loads with holes in the side of the trailer like they do with their dry fleet.harleymanjax Thanks this.

crst an us express, are getting in the refer game they will all be teams to, is what i heard....
...this cant be good !!!
DocRox Thanks this. -
Goldwing,
Randy should not be the safety director here, The Safestat score we have today is an indication that directly reflects on Him and his department. If and when the truth comes to the CEO I have a strong feeling that the reaction will be very swift and Randy will be released to the industry, He has put all the aspects of the Safety department off on the Dispatchers, the DM's have to keep up with DOT medicals, CDL's and UA compliance. Which in any other company is the responsibility of the Safety folks not the Dispatchers. This is just one problem, Randy Has himself involved with things like the Fuel/route optimizer which has nothing to do with Safety, and is an operations problem, But then again when you ######## your way into a job with a company and can not handle your job as he has done I guess you do your best to look busy to your boss.
