Yea my heart is set with central I just took the drug test and physical on Monday so hopefully I hear back good news soon

go to central, home daily is worth alot as far as im concerned, bottom feeder or not hourly pay and home daily is far superior to otr, its like comparing a hut in somalia to a home in detroit with plumbing and heat but no ac! (lol). (central transport would be the house in detroit in that anology)
schneider youll be otr home 3-4 days per month or MAYBE 2 days per week if you land a regional route. -
Depends what account he gets on. They SNI has an account out of college park open right now that your off weekends and home a day or so through the week. Running LTL ain't all its cracked up to be it self, 14 hours days ,working the dock when its 18 degrees out and yes they do work the dock at central. Driving a differant truck every day that someone else dirted up with there nasty self. But hey your home everyday . Enjoy...

Central is more like a driving gig than a career. Very few stay with it unless you work your way into a P&D driver. TheP&D drivers have a good job. You can make some killer money, but working as a road driver/dock worker, you have some less than desireable supervisors breathing down your neck pushing you. Pretty much I'm god and you are a piece of crap. I'm speaking of the Hammond, IN hub. Hammond has no heat or AC. Every two months there was new faces. Though it was kind of fun, forty truck drivers driving wide open on fork lifts.
I've made as much as $1800 a week. Most of my checks were around $1450. But working 3rd shift 14 hours a day, with a 1 hour commute each way was kind of rough. You sleep on all your time off. So it's not like you have a gravy day job. That's when my thyroid quit working compounding the situation, so I quit and went back OTR. -
Yea i agree i worked with Saia for a year and it sux bad. I lived 62 miles away so the time i got up and got ready i and got to work that was about 2 hours there then work 14 hrs then another 2 1/2 hrs to get home, shower, eat and then bed so your looking at 18 1/2 hours so that leaves you with 51/2 to sleep if you go straight to bed. That takes a toll on a guy i dont care who you are.

youre right but it isnt always 14 hrs and seniority will eventually land you a gravy route.
you will make more money too, sleeping in your own bed is great imo...i like within 15 min of at least 7 different ltl's,not with one yet..but thats the plan.7122894003481 Thanks this. -
Central "forgets" to pay your hourly dock time and you TM "forgets" to turn in your pay shortage request. That is why Mattie is always looking for drivers.

Id still take it over Schneider.
