UPS gets to practice sometimes, too. I was going east on 44 in MO last year, stopped almost to St Louis to overhaul my wipers and watched a UPS doubles/daycab combination slide into the median. Gotta hand it to the guy, though. He kept it upright. The look on his face was kinda classic, as he stood there looking at his rig in the ditch with his hat in his hand, scratching his head.

There was a Buster Brown wiggle wagon that side swiped a USA truck on 80 two weeks ago.

Awful lot of Christmas presents scattered down the road.

But you really don't see as many UPS guys screwin up in comparison to some of the mega carriers.

Training carriers are going to have more incidents... they have a higher proportion of low-time drivers. But that's how you get your first leg-up in this industry these days. Maybe you ought to lay off, get out of your cab, and help one of those guys get a little better at it.

UPS doesn't have nearly as many trainees as the mega carriers and you very rarely see a backing accident with UPS because they don't back up nearly as much. They'll avoid backing doubles and triples.

Once they've hit something (which is what I was talking about) not much for me to do.

Besides, where in my post did I mention training carriers?

Mega carrier = training carrier in most cases.

And how are we supposed to learn? The big carriers are mostly the only ones willing to help someone learn how to drive. Coming to Prime was the only way I couldve gotten into this industry. No one near me willing to train someone with no experience at all. I got hands on training learning in the real world how to safetly handle the truck, trailer, and load. Ive never had an accident, never caused damage to anything... Cause I do what I was trained to do. I hope I never become a super trucker who looks down on anyone not as awesome as they are.
