Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Well, Pitt Ohio is the worst example of why I don't like the way some companies operate. I couldn't deal with all their relays and their forced routing and their "detour codes". Some guys may like working under such conditions and that's fine. But I couldn't.

PJAX is hiring! Ad in the Butler Eagle and Monster....I knwo this thread is old, but #### it, I am looking for something too....I worked with a guy who said PJAX was great (although I think they are Milan now).
-
pjax is now vitran
-
does anyone know Pjax's hiring req's? I don't live too awfully far from them.
-
Well he didn't say it had to be a good company but he is looking for a union job
-
detour codes?
-
Probably won't get a response. Last on in January 2009.

oops lol. Didn't realize someone revived a thread. Argh.
I Sure am in the mood for a home every day driving job myself...my local conway terminal has my application on file.
I have a hard time lookign for these kinds of jobs though. I search the classifies, whether it be the real newspaper or job sites, and its full of Swift, Werner, CR England, J(o)B Hunt (especially them, we're really close to a terminal), etc, OTR jobs. CRE even posts lease purchase positions making them look like home everynight jobs at first. These people are apparently posting in every city in the country. WTF? So obnoxious.
If someone wants to work for them, last i checked you can walk down any aisle in a truck stop and see atleast 10 trucks from each of those companies..

If you can hold a steering wheel and have a pulse Pjax will hire you. I used to work there and the driver's re-named the company "Welfare Trucking". They have some of the worst equipment on the road. Even though Vitran bought Pjax, Pjax out of Pittsburgh is running the show.
