I will leave a buck on the counter most of the time, unless the people are rude. Sometimes 2 bucks if I get an extra towel to put on the floor.
I do not tip at the places that charge me more than 10 bucks for a shower (TA in Corning, CA.)
Do you tip the person that cleans the shower

I showered at that TA four days ago. It was ten bucks, but free because I used my shower credit from fueling...
How much did they charge you?
I left two bucks. The shower was incredibly clean. The towels and washcloth were actually nice. The water stayed hot! I always wear shower shoes, but I felt like I could have gotten away with not wearing them. -
12 bucks every time I've paid with cash at the automated kiosk.
That's not the only one... there is another TA in CA somewhere that's 12 bucks but it escapes me right now. -
All TAs are 12 bucks over the last year it went from 10 to 11 to 12 I know this cause our trucks are fueled at Ryder shops. Some Ryder shops do have showers but they are grosser than the truckstop showers. But our company pays for showers its in our contract but It only says 10 dollars per shower but the contract is 4 yrs old now.

Well if the shower is clean yes i leave a tip usually $2. The kid at the Bloomsbury,NJ TA does a super job so i hunt him down thank him and leave him a bigger tip. I do not care what nationality the shower person is. Most of them more than earn their pay having to clean up after some super inconsiderate slobs. Plus i'll add a $1000 a week driver can't bare to part with a couple bucks. Also known as CHEAP!
bubba mark Thanks this. -
I'll tip sometimes if the shower has actually been "cleaned". As far as paying cash for a shower, I've never done it. Free shower w/50+ gallons. Why would anyone pay?
-
If I tipped everyone that wanted a tip, I would be broke...

I would be glad to follow you around and advise you on who to tip and who not to tip during your daily activities.
Of course, I will expect a tip each time I give advice.
onemoremile and losttrucker Thank this. -
I think I ought to get a tip every time I have go remove my freight at one of those "driver unload" places.
For that matter, I ought to get a tip for cleaning up the mess some of these shippers/receivers leave in the trailer. -
Tip,na i'm a cheapo.
