Yea but letting IC's train would cut into the Profit margin of the IC.
-
They would need to pay them for it. They pay te's more dont they? Nobody would do itbif they didnt.
-
Yea but they only pay like 40 dollars per day or round about. I personally don't think it'd be worth it at those rates. 100 per day I'd consider it.
-
I would probably want more then that. Lol

First week back was pretty good, around 2400 mi. with one hazmat (5000 gal., in totes, of division 3). Best day was 550 mi., just north of Atlanta to Winchester, VA. The Big Island G-P is uh... in an interesting area, road-wise. Atlanta traffic sucks just as bad as ever. My hours stayed good on my recap (experienced orientation, I had to count) and they got me back home to Charlotte yesterday night. My DBL is nice enough. The glider is leaking a gallon of oil per day or 500 mi., so it will sit and I will sit at home until probably Tuesday afternoon/evening. That sux. But the truck is very nice. What a difference from the 800k milers in which apparently baboons lived...

Merry Christmas to all you Schneider drivers.

lol... I remember my first trip in there. It was a moonless night and black as a coal mine and raining. NO IDEA where the place was at, what it was like, and the system kept giving warnings, as do several signs, that commercial traffic is prohibited. On top of that I then lost all Qualcomm signal, I checked my phones signal, just in case I got in a place that I could not get out of, and NO SIGNAL ON IT EITHER. I remember saying to myself, "I sure hope this does not turn into a $H!T sandwich.
There was NO place to stop, pull over to check a map, or turn around (Say prayer now).
The road continued to narrow, and narrow, and yet another "No commercial traffic on route ###" sign. And just when I told myself "I am going to be F#@Ked;" a PuMkIn IC TrUcK popped over the hill in front of me and the driver says over the CB, "You think your lost don't you Schneider." I said, "Well I did till you popped over the hill and asked me that." We both laughed about it. "So did I an hour ago coming up here", he said. "Just up the road and turn right at the stop sign. It will be on your left."
I took a picture of the intersection with the signs and the little building for my scrap book the second time there. I'll upload it to my pics for those who have never been there. -
Yea only one way in and out the other way is a short trip to the interstate but it's cmv restricted. I've been there 12 times or more and been lucky all day runs. Although i did stay there over nite once. No cell phone no nothing.
