I dont know anything about the Volvo trucks, but the cars are suppose to be pretty reliable. Do the Volvo trucks stand good with the Volvo names. and what site can I go too, to look at some interiors of some other name trucks.

JUST SAY NO TO SWIFT!
As for the other truck manufacture interior pics... go to their websites (usually their name dot com) and they'll have all sorts of stuff for you to look at. -
Mr Smith you NEED, NEED, NEED, to read the info on Swift on this forum. Go to the "report a bad trucking co." thread, then run away! I also am new to the trucking world and firmly believe that this site saved me from making several BAD choices. Web sites are easy to make look great, I know because my brother-in-law is a programer. To those guys its NOTHING to make a silk purse out of a sows ear( at least LOOK like a silk purse). Keep reading this site, at times it will scare you to death what you are thinking of doing, but you will be able to make an informed decision. Best of luck!

I drove a Volvo with PAM for two years. The truck rode great. Hands down, the smoothest ride in a semi. As to the reliability of them, I had some problems with mine that was odd. First off, the ground wire on the starter corroded in two after just 60,000 miles. Then, due to a minor air leak, the auto-shift transmission became stuck in gear. The gear was too high to take off from a stop and too low to reach top speed. Then I had more electrical problems. One night, after several times of flashing off and on, the lights completely went out. When I finally got them to come back on, only one headlight was burning. Replacing a headlight in a Volvo isn't easy. Well, the physical act of puting the bulb in is simple enough. The hard part is finding a place to buy the bulb. As memory serves me, it took me 3 dealerships and at least a half dozen truck stop shops and two company shops to find the right bulb. Even with all the problems I had, I'd still love to be driving one. That ride is heaven. And the cab noise is about half of any other truck I've driven (Kenworth, Freightliner, and International).
