I was wondering if their are any Independent Double Drop trailer drivers on the site.
If so, could you tell me how often you have a job? Are the jobs few and far between? Do you have to be dedicated to someone like an excavator company or heavy equipment company before you can make it?
I've seen add's for drivers for these in mag. and on line but wondered how one could make it if that's all you haul.
Do you have to have more than that trailer?

You go where the work is. You need to relocate to a city where the growth is good since that type of truck is specific to construction. The best city right now and it's been this way for the past 20 years is Las Vegas NV.

You'd have no problem getting work and you'd also work year round. I moved there in 1990 and back then there was only 5000 people a MONTH moving in. Now they say it's more like 7 or 8 thousand. Don't believe me? Just go to the DMV and you'll wait all day unless you camp out early in the morning. BTW we moved out of there in 2000 because we didn't like the schools.
