Average gross 950 with two years experience (as per your profile) seems very reasonable... I mean, there has to be a learning curve to this business of at least 5 years to get you where you begin establishing relationships with habitual dock managers, know alternate routes, know which truck stops to avoid, when to travel where and so on and on and become more efficient with the same time... I KNOW NOTHING about trucking... but it's just the way the world goes round...
And that is 950 a week with a 8k tax deduction +/- at the end of the year... other people don't get that... if you contribute to a 401k and do an IRA (provided you CAN) the 8k deduction can go a long way to keep you from being taxed to death === Hey, you will not be taxed at the same low rate as Warren Buffet but you are not a billionaire so shut up!:biggrin_25516:

Noooo!!!! I want to be nice and warm in side of my cab when others are dealing with tarps and straps... I bet the ladies at the Flying J's are really impressed with all those rough and tough skate boarders though... :biggrin_25526:

Yeah there are, but they're a minority. :). I will concede on the dirty part though.

I'll take your word for it... for what I have read it seems that refrigerated might be the better deal: longer hauls, more drop and hook and no finger prints on the loads...
    Is that true???

They run more deliveries in the early AM. More waiting at consignees and what not. I enjoy starting my days early and finishing early. Not delivering early morning.

    snowman01 and TooGroovy Thank this.

So that is the caveat... Do you make the miles then, if you are sitting waiting for loading and unloading? It comes out in the average, right?

Oh, Roehl made it to the best companies to work for this year. Very few companies that train did. Another company that did is a company that belongs to Jeff England called PRIDE... there is a whole story behind that...

Didn't prime make that cut too? Their criteria must be flawed lol I don't think we should brag too much about being grouped in with them and an England owned company! Seems the competition isn't that strong
