Laws on work permits UK to Canada?

    Hello Newbie here!

    Theres probably a section here I have missed but Im hoping you could help out please.

    I am a 38 year old male who drives a HGV1 in the UK and Im wanting to come and do some trucking in Canada to a) see if I like it there and b) If I do consider moving myself and my family out full time.

    Are there companies that would sponsor me with this? What exactly would be involved in the application process? Does it take a great deal of time and money to sort out?

    There's not a driver shortage in Canada so only the bottom feeding companies that hard working Canadians won't work for are having to import truck drivers from half way across the world.

    get ready to get your ### beaten ,, and most probably have you familly back home go hungry . cause there wont be much money left for you to sent them... this is after basically living in you truck.... good luck though...

    and yes quite a few canadian companies sponsor drivers.... !!!!!!!!!

    theres like a dozen or so people that came over from europe that put up blogs with blogspot, 95% of the blogs are negative to the experience.

    most of the guys that came over that i met felt lied to and couldnt wait to get their papers so they could leave the company that sponsored them.
