Okay, I've been in ND long enough now to report back, First off, winter has been very mild so far. Second, the money is DEFINITELY here...a CDL is like gold here. It's easier for a man to get a job here only because of the shortage of accommodations here...unless you have your own trailer. There are some crazy roads here but the biggest problem I see is drivers who think they're super truckers and they DON'T CHAIN UP when the roads get bad. Then to add insult to injury they drive as if they're in the South with dry roads. A few places pay by the load...I recommend staying away from them. If a driver can't net a minimum of $4000 every two weeks, they're not trying. That's a minimum NET. Water haulers seem to pay the same as fuel haulers...just depends on the company.
Hope this helps.Last edited: Dec 31, 2011

One more thing. An O/O can make enough to retire up here with maybe 3-5 years hard work.
