New driver with dual citizenship

prairie boy, the way i understand it the driver can run both countries, but if the company doe's not have terminals in both contries then its still illegal, drivers for companies like warner,schneider,wagoneers are some that have terminals in both countries... comments.

Having a dual citizenship will not mean anything, I have that now. Having a fast card will help with some companys. And a company would have to have bases in both countrys to do anything more than hauling loads in and out.

If he runs for Schneider, then he can do inter-stating in both countries, since he's a dual citizen. -
No he cannot, regardless of where his citizenship lies, he can only Point to point in one Country or the other, he cannot do it in both. -
The carrier is a registered carrier in both countries, and he has dual citizenship. Where would he be denied the ability to interstate? On what grounds? You may be right, that he cannot do it, but logic dictates that he could. Until I see proof otherwise, I always go with logic first.

And I just sit there and look at all the people who claim that they can't get a job?
On 60 minutes last week, they showed how Clevland Ohio is now knocking down houses that cost $75-100,000 five years ago. (Abandonded neighborhoods).
I don't know if this has that much to do with this thread though. -
From what I have researched and from what I have been told by everything Highway patrol and DOT this person can work both ends of the border as long as they are in complience with weight and HOS!! I wish I had there situation!!

YOU ARE CORRECT. I have done pipeline stringing jobs in the USA with Canadians that had Dual and it was never a problem. Ohm by the way, the trucks, booms and cranes we used were all Canadian equipment.KenworthComeUp Thanks this.
