Why? Tired of seeing the wife everyday?
-
I left OTR in 2009.....I had the same urge to return to the "Big Road" once I saw how things went backwards since I left, the urge went away real quick......Plus, nobody wants anyone with experince...They all want the puppies fresh outta the mills, they'll work for .28CPM and like it because they get a shiney new truck and it looks cool.

Welcome aboard...

I'm not sure about how cool a shiny new truck looks but the reason I'm getting into the bisnuess is because being selfemployed for most of my adult life I've finelly run into a streach of time where it's getting harder to weather the slow times. As for willing to run for .28cpm, well at least that helps pay the bills. I've never taken ANY money from the government in my life and if I can learn another trade or skill or profession I'll do it to keep from drawing any unemployment. I dont think your trying to sound sarcastic but just wanted to let you know this newby's resaon for getting into trucking late in life. Thank you.

Welcome, and no I was not trying to come off the wrong way. All I was saying is going from OTR to a local gig is one thing, I don't understand why one would want to return?
With 4.5 exp local, I'm pretty positive you can write your own ticket to any local outfit there is. -
Welcome to ttr !!!!
