Katy, you can listen all you want, if you can handle people cussing, making threats to one another, using racial slurs like the n-word, and in some cases when women are heard on the radio, some guy keys up and asks something like "shouldn't you be at home laying on your back making babies?" or "why are you not in the kitchen?".
So if you can handle some of the above things mentioned, then by all means listen in. My f-i-l used to drive OTR and told his wife to not listen to the radio at truck stops. When she asked he said "turn it on, you'll soon find out" Well she did, and she didn't care for some of the rude foul language being used, she quickly turned it back off.
Why are Women told never to listen to CB?

Yes it is sad, but that's what happens when troublemakers think they can hide behind a mic and don't think they will get caught. Remove their anonymity and I'll bet you they'd shut up or start back peddling real quickly.Bighig Thanks this.

True for a lot of them. Some of them just don't know any better and have never been made to be accountable for their actions.Bighig Thanks this.

To bad this doesn't work on 20 meters. -
If you want to hear some of the most vile childish crap you have ever heard come up here to the NYC metro area and turn on your cb. There's a couple of local guys that run out of the port that are constanly going off. They even have their own website. It's brutal.

What doesn't work? On 20 M do you mean even if exposed they still spat off? Or you mean they don't bother because they know someone would rat them out?
(sorry i don't have access to 20 M at this time)
