also when i was younger i and my dad was moving.we was in a uhaul getting fuel 1 nite up on i70.stopped in a ts to get fuel.some ######## released the latches holding our jeep on the tow dolly.we made it about 10 miles down the road when we heard a noise and the truck pulling weird.pulled over and our jeep had some how made it over the tow dolly and the only thing holding it on was the tires wedged between the tow dolly and truck.glad it was a 4wd...
needless to say,if i ever see someone doing something like that they won't walk again...johnday Thanks this. -
Its happened to me Mcfly. Some idiot pulled my 5th wheel release at a truck stop after we had an argument. I caught it, because I ALWAYS check my 5th wheel before leaving. Of course the dude was long gone though.
That just aint funny. You are talking about thousands of dollars worth of possible equipment and freight damage, plus a wreckers fee..And possibly a life. -

I always check the 5th wheel every time i stop my fear is going down the road and the trailer disconnecting and killing some one all because i was in to much of a hurry to just simply look at the 5th wheel and lock bar.

if I ever find someone doing that on my truck or anyone elses it will not be a good thing for them. no there wont be any cops called maybe the ems. That isn't funny to even joke about no I don't have a since of humor about pulling someones 5th wheel. Yes I would take it one sided. I was taught long ago to set the trailer brakes then pull on the trailer it jams the 5th wheel so you can't pull the pin. years ago it was a stunt that company driviers did to o/o or o/o's to others so they could get a jump on a load. it was bad form then and it is bad form now.
