I posted that response just before buying a new to me truck. Was looking at a T600 that had Firestones on it & the guy did not have records of when he replaced them. So not really sure how many miles were on those tires & not knocking F-stones.

Didn't end up buying the truck because he had thrown over $14 grand at it in one year. Never touched anything inside the motor, trans or rears from the documents that went with that truck. Again, tires were not apart of that $14k number.

Ended up buying another truck a couple weeks later with 726 EL's & 260 steers. Best guess they were put on in 2006 & the drives will be ready around snow time this year. Not interested in the whole running slicks idea.

Where'd you git that deal? I've had real good success with Yokahoma. I went to the T/A in several locations and didn't come close to that. My quotes started in 10/11. So allowing for very little time change I'm missing something. My best quote on anything is Yokahoma 303 or Firestone 690+ form Richmond,VA T/A. [Thats put on, new stems, $80 trades, and 3 axle alignment.] I want to call your guy.

As for the national account, not @ UACL. I did my checking then checked with them. I was told that the U SAV program is a part of their national account. Then was told it was designed for company trucks and trailers. They consider it a loan if O/O's purchase through it. The tires are basically purchased by the company then marked up for profit before being "sold" to the O/O. They consider it a loan if O/O's purchase through it. An 18 percent inerest loan no less. Not bad for a company who requires a maintenance escrow that pays no interest. And to a person they told me that they bet I could get a better deal on my own. "YOU THINK"! So much for the national account idea there. LOL.

Ok i'm through ranting now. All advise is accepted, good advice is taken, and real good advice is appreciated.
