Nope... never met him. It has always been Jim sitting behind the counter when I go in. I don't see how Jim does it all by himself... he's always "swamped" with customers. Everyone knows that Jim will treat them right.

The first page of this thread mentioned the guy behind the Loves,I-40 exit 412 in TN.
He snipped something out of my Galaxy 44V....I have not been happy with it since.
The only thing i can tell is the talk back is louder.
I used to get compliments on that radio's sound but people say it has a hum in the background now.
Wish i would have caught that post before going to him......Off to read the CB shop white list...

I used to always plan to spend the whole day when I took stuff to Jim to fix. Compared to most shops along the "big road", his prices are pretty cheap. But, I've got the best tech I've ever found close to me now. I still stop in and visit Jim when I can though.SleepysRose Thanks this.

Think he can do the same with a 29 as the one I shared a link in the other post? -
He can if you already own the parts and just want a good install and peak & tune... but if you don't I think you're better off going with the package deal. $209 is a great price for that setup especially being "turn key". Personally, I don't think he would be competitive on it.

If it is, it would be irritating for the restaurant cashier to have to keep running back to tell Jim to come up front and tie up her phone. I know as many did that often (I have experience with tying up her phone while she had customers in line trying to pay for their food). Many did this because Jim has a habit of turning off the ringer so he can get work done and only days later did he think to turn it back on. Eventually I mounted a phone in back but soon started turning it off as well for the same reason. People want to spend eternity talking about their radio symptom not understanding 2 minutes on the bench gives much more data about the problem and allows the technician time to get their work done.Last edited by a moderator: May 22, 2016
