I've been talking to my recruiter and am hoping for an invitation to Springfield soon. One of my biggest concerns in this process is my trainer. I'm sure the majority of trainers are good, and that people just talk more about the bad ones. But it seems like everywhere I look I see these horror stories about terrible trainers. I really don't want to get stuck in a small truck for months of training with a trainer with poor hygiene and deplorable interpersonal skills. Which leads to my question...
Is it possible to request a particular trainer from Prime? And are any of you trainers or can you point me in the direction of some good ones?

Try to find a trainer that weighs less than 600 pounds and doesn't breath through his mouth

There are many good trainers. If you find one willing to take you on his truck is can make that most likely.

Haha, yeah that's what I'm afraid of. It seems like companies would want their most professional people to be trainers, not some of the dirtbags they seem to have training. Well, hoping I luck out and get a good one...

So Prime will accommodate requests for a particular trainer then, as long as the student and the trainer agree? And how would I go about finding one? Meet as many people as possible at orientation?

My buddy is a trainer I requested him gave the recruite his truck and id number and prime had no problem setting it up I will be going to SLC and that is where he will meet me at.

lots of good trainers, my psd and tnt trainers were ocd about hygeine. showers every 2 to 5 days, depending on where we were and what our loads looked like. my psd trainer was anal about a clean truck too, which i liked because i was the same way. my tnt trainer wasnt as much worried about the truck as he was himself but it still stayed pretty clean. both had thier own unique style of teaching, both worked good in some ways and didnt in other. hang out and eat at the terminal, go to the backing pad and talk to everybody. ask lots of questions. thats what i did and it all worked out.
