    My old SNI contract also has a term in the contract trying to suggest that the loan can't be shed in a Bankruptcy. FWIW, I think it's BS. It's not a traditional regionally accredited training program. It's not a standard educational class. It just a two or three week training program.

    I'm not a lawyer but I think it's just a scare tactic. And the reason they probably didn't even try was because they knew they had no case or chance.

    For anyone else in the situation also look into your state's Statute of Limitations for written contracts. In some states it is between 3 - 5 years. Others 10 or 20 years. After this time they cannot successfully (if they do you just have to appear and point out that it is past the SOL and the case is dismissed) sue you. Also the federal laws prohibit the debt from appearing on your credit report after seven years (unless you do something to reset it). So in many states and cases after 7 years the debt won't effect you in any way other than technically owing it (but it being impossible to successfully sue you for it).
