    Hello,

I started out hauling cars with a guy who went bust due to gambling. In the process he blew it all the clients. This left me with a dually and w wedge hauling cars finding my own freight. this did not work out so I had the bright idea to buy a PETE 387-2004 MODEL tandem axle teach MYSELF HOW TO DRIVE and buy a new 6-7 car trailer. Well the tsunami hit and finding loads got real hard. I was going broke. So I spent 9k to have a blower installed and started hauling frac sand. My contract said the trailer I was leasing was 625.00 per week after week 6 the company took out $2500 in ONE week for the lease. Then 2500 the next week. They said they had gotten into trouble and had to start billing us monthly and that now we needed to be a month ahead. Then called me then next week and said they were kicked off the Texas rigs (where I live) and that I would need to go to Pa and stay five weeks on and one off. Well this was the last straw hell I already could not trust them so why would I gamble that PA would be better. What I need it to support my family plain and simple. I have three boys 2 yr old twins and a 3 yr old. Since I did not go to driving school and have just two years exp. I'm finding it difficult to find work. I
really need some help here. I'm no dummy I have a BA in Communications and a serious drive to make this work but at this point all I need is to pay my bills. I may have another sand hauling gig lined up that starts in a couple weeks but nothing for sure. Any advice would be welcome.

I would sell everything and get a local job as a dispatcher, or in a warehouse. Now, January, to April is always slow. Plus you have to deal with the dirt bags hauling cheap freight. Get out.

Ya know war games it just might be time for that. I can always go back to work for a TV station or something but I sure wanted to make a go of this. But things are rough and I'm about at the end of my rope. Thanks for the input

There are alot of companies in the oilfield game in Texas. South Texas is picking back up. They're bringing in 10 more rigs to one area down there. Not to mention Odessa/Midland. You should be able to find work in Texas.

I'm going to give it a month or so looking hard. I have had better luck with leads today than the last two weeks combined
    Thanks,

My friend is making good money driving trucks in the Midland area for the oil rigs. Good thing since he has 3 baby mamas and 4 kids, lol!

Thanks for the input guys. I just got two job offers. One driving the gear bus for a Christian rock group. And the other the one the only JB HUNT. I guess I'm born again! I have heard way too much stuff to go with JB HUNT. However, if any of you guys are happy with JB HUNT I'm all ears.
