I have a 2000 770, 500 detroit. I had a new head and turbo replaced, when I picked up the truck I had lost spedo, tach, oil press, temp, and my on board diag. Not sure where to go. I do not have a fuse or electrical diagram so I was at a loss. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Chad Mathison T-Rex

Your truck should have a fuse layout on the bottom side of the fuse cover which is where the cb mounts down. Unstrap your cb from the center of the dash, two screws and the cover lifts up to the fuses. Additional fuse layout is on normally on the back side of the cup holder. Two screws for this as well.
If there isn't a layout there, pm me and I'll take a picture of mine which should be identical.
Probably separate fuses for the guages and diag. display.
Hope this helps. -
damaged J1708 datalink. wires 400-401, run from cab-chassis connector to engine ECM,and after engine to ABS frame unit.

Thanks, guy's , Will do some digging today when I get home from work. I was thinking grounds, because they had the head off, but I couldnt find anything. Chad

DD ecm is located low. bas access, so easy to damage wires
-
Where is the ecm, and would they have taken it loose to install a new head? Possibly bent over a pin in the connector?
-
it is hidden with left frame rail. I sugest connectors are OK, becouse you did not unscrew them. Wires are damaged somewhere in cab -chassis connector area.
Check 400-401 twisted pair (from C connector). J1939 is OK, becouse no gas pedal and C/C are lost. -
Can you point me in the direction to these wires and which connector is this? Thanks a million!! Chad
-
it is just a twist pair running from cab-chassis connector to engine ECM, and frame ABS unit
-
Pablo, These two wires will carry all input to the spedo, tach, oil press and such. I beleive I found the wires over the weekend, but it was so #### cold out, I will have to wait to work on it again. Good thing I am not in need of it for a few more weeks! Thanks again!
