may I ask where did you hear that IRT has orientation class every week? The only times they do is to fill some truck/s that's available. I'm a regional driver which means I'm in the W.H. terminal constantly and I don't see a lot of orientation classes going, yes If seen a few new drivers but not all the time.

I heard Larry the safety director has been firing drivers left and right for getting ticketed by DOT for log violations

The job is great...I just need some hometime, which I'm getting in a couple of days. I've been out 9 weeks. I could have gone home way before now, but I kept forgetting to tell them. I never could remember to tell them when I wanted to go home when I had them on the phone. I finally remembered and gave them a date. That's my problem, not theirs. Only staying out 3-4 weeks at a time from now on. Lets just say I bit off more than I could chew, without meaning to.

All I know about orientation is that when I started 2 months ago, they were having it every week. I could have started November 1st if I had been able, but I started on the the 8th. There were other drivers starting on the 15th. I think all the trucks with cats under the hood are gone, so now the new drivers get one of these 386s right off the bat. Would have saved myself a lot of time that was wasted in shops and in motel rooms if I had come along a little bit later in the game. Oh well

My hometime is scheduled from the 9th thru the 11th and I come back on the 12th. I slept at the house last night and I'm about to drive back over to the yard. With nothing but the weekend standing between me and home, I wonder what they're gonna do with me to pass the time.
