I live in the north east. I just refuse to go places that i know treat drivers like ######. Stuff like this only happens because people allow it to happen.

I live in new jersey and every warehouse you go to is the same whether it's c&s or whatever other one you go to. Just so happens that my company is a major manufacturer for the grocery business so I got to deal with it. Trust me if we weren't paid right we wouldn't be still doing it. I'd go find another job.

freebird,
I'm with you on the treament issue, and this continues because drivers allow it to happen. Not familiar with C&S, so I guess their special because of the service they offer, or is it the rates?
-
I have had to wait at C&S several times 5-6 hours before with no compensation. I understand that this occasionally happens. But with C&S it seems to always happen. I can't believe companies like C&S would want a reputation of being such an unpleasant experience.

I used to be an order selector/palet builder at c and s, they are always late because order selectors cant build palets on time, it is a very, very labor intensive job with 150% or more turnover

Agreed! At C&S I come in, keep my mouth shut. No problems. This is not rocket science here people!
-
The only C&S I have been to is in Carteret, NJ? I think the security guards could use a lesson or two in manners and respect, that's the first thing I noticed when I got there. Forgedaboud everything else, that is to be expected.

I never been to carteret c&s

I guess i'm lucky, All of our C&S loads are D&H. The only ##### i have is the one in York, They have 6 or 7, maybe 8 lanes for checking in and the most i've seen open at 1 time is 2. I have been 10 trucks deep in line getting checked in.
-
I del there frequently. I"m lucky were all D&H. My only real issue is the York yard where they have 6, maybe 8 check in booths and i've only seen 2 open at a time and i've been backed up as many as 10 trucks in line waiting to check in.
