I agree with Dave on this. NEVER expect a company to pay your tickets in time. Never take freight that will earn a ticket, even if the dispatcher or the boss say they will pay the ticket. Never turn over the ticket to the company and trust them to pay it on time. You're lucky you didn't get stopped for some small thing at a scale house and go to jail. That happened to one of our temp drivers. He was stopped for a minor speeding ticket, and went to jail for driving on a suspended license because his past company didn't pay a prior small weight ticket.
If a driver's current company is decent they will pay you in your next paycheck. If I got a company-inspired ticket I would give them 7-14 days to pay me, and I would immediately pay the ticket out of my own checking account. That ticket is nothing to the company, it's a job to you.
You also want to keep proof you paid any tickets permanently. -
That's the whole story in a nutshell.dave26027 Thanks this.

Go off Grid now, Wander around the south west. Sit at a corner with a sign saying "Homeless need Cash or food" You should do just fine. Just Kidding, But.. I have an Old friend who is doing that now and doing quite well.
Call the court find out what you need to do to get that thing reinstated, and do it. Otherwise, You might have to take the first option here. -
Why does everybody holler lawyer so quick?...Pay the fine to clear & renew your CDL...Then sue the Company in small claims court yourself ( no Lawyer needed) to get your $ back
chalupa Thanks this. -
Agreed, get the credentials in order pronto.....then small claims your previous carrier. He likely won't show and you'll win by default......
