I'm getting 7.5 in my cascadia right now. A driver I talked to was getting 5.8 in his old cascadia. I am assuming the older ones had engine issues causing terrible mpgs. That's why they were traded in at half life span.

The reason May has a primarily peterbuilt fleet is that they get a big discounts form peterbuilt for ordering a certain quantity.

That sucks. I really wish all terminals would do what Denver does. Have the truck washed and professionally detailed before issue. You can get a big can of coffe grounds when you go home and leave it sitting in the truck opened while at home. It will suck a lot of the cigarette smell out of the truck. Also, get some cleaning wipes and wipe down the inside and febreeze he #### out of that truck. Stop by a shop and get new mattresses too.

it takes two months and febreeze every 30 minutes with a/c on recirculate. Change air filters and ask them to clean ac coils. I wiped from top to bottom with winded anti bacterial cleaning spray. I threw away the towels after. I.know how you feel.

I drive a TranStar that was previously driven by a heavy smoker. I emptied the cab and went over the whole interior with all-purpose cleaner and armorall glass cleaner. If you're gonna be in it for awhile, ya might wanna spend a few minutes at it. at least that's an easy fix. ~ NOW, if ya don't have a coffee cup holder . . . :biggrin_25525:

Hello to all my May family members, Well made it to Tracy, was hopin by luck i would get my first drop off but nope, but it was worth a try. Met a man and lady o/o for May they were pretty cool to visit with. So anyways i read the post about the petes and all, i wish i had a pete, i guess because thats what i have allways drove. My prostar rides like a tank and sways back and forth more than anything i ever drove, however i am starting to think its the trailers i pull, i pulled a newer dry box the other day and wow what a ride but now i got the 5948 and man we are all over the road. May be some one could let me know if thats what ya all think it is, shope said nothing wrong but my fuel mileage went from 7.8 down to 5.9. Well gonna back outta here hope you all are doing good and being safe,

Well my first time delivering more than one drop went pretty well except for the one in Livermore which i had to put my backing skills to test kinda missed my entrance to recieving and had to back around the store. I will say at all 3 stops there were very nice people working as receivers. I got lucky and the reciever at Danville is letting me park here just 4 a bit so i hope sometthing comes my way soon. Its a relief to have a trip finally go well for a change. Hope ya all are having a good day

Instead of going through all that trouble to try and clean the truck of smoke residue, wouldn't it just be easier to take up smoking? ;-)

well i ended up going to the t/s in Tracy, man its tight in this t/s lucky i found a spot where its a straight shot out for me and the truck next to me. Hopefully get a load in the morning but i aint gonna stress over it cause i know freight is slow and i am learning to stay a lot more calmer which seems to be workn for me. This company never ceases to amaze me, i talk to kim from layton on the phone whom is a driver turned dispatcher we talked i bet for a good half hour ,it was pretty cool, anyways hope every one stays cool through theses slow times and dont do anything irrational, its not allways greener on the other side, but heck what do i know i am a new b.lol.

Yeah nobrand, just glad I'm stuck sitting in Bend in a nice quiet spot with plenty of stores and things to do, not at the Tracy t/s... 2 days there would wear on a person. Going on day 3 tomorrow (though Sunday was waiting to deliver my Coors load this morning)... Hang in there everyone! :biggrin_25518:
