I would like to see the position of the gutts when the valve is closed and when it's open. I would greatly appreciate if some one will post it - respond. On the bright side : you'll have a chance to take one off and clean it. I just put my back in and now
Second guessing my self. Don't want to buy the bad egr just to comPare.
Thanx. -
Update. I got pictures, give me 20 minutes or so -
My opens and closes : only inside-link is out. I'm thinking it closes and opens to much. If I can see the Position, I might be able to fix the problem. It drives fine-bob tail, so far. But, I like to drive knowing things are the way I want them to be. I would be thankful if it'll help.

Would you by any chaance have any pictures of its guts : with the side cover open, the one that has 5 bolts. ?
This is helpful, the shot of the guts could be more helpful. -

you probably assembled it correctly guy, the FMI 4 is an electrical fault code. indicating you have no voltage coming back on the signal circuit from your egr position sensor. i'd short the 5 volt reference and the signal line and see if the FMI changes to a 3. If so, replace the sensor.

Short-you mean just put a jumper in the connector?
