I never heard of the 45 on 6 off, I still wont do it though, I don't like getting stuck on the east coast doing the I95 bs.

I always cringe when Jan rolls around....turned in 1833 miles last week (Over 8 days) and this week looks to be more of the same, on a 1180 mile run over 4.5 days NO I did not have to take it but after waiting 17 hours after my mt call I better take what I could get. Well I will sit here for 2 days as I am already close to cons. Trying to stay productive and getting this load t'd is a joke....guess I will watch the grass grow.......

I just tell myself that I'm not the only one going through all this, even other companies are slow, I remind myself its typical this time of year.
-
That's not true. Some of us never slow down. If you make a good living for yourself that's all that matters. Big companies just have too many drivers. If it's that slow hopefully they can sit you at home instead of on the road.

do any of you work out of spartanburg s.c. I will be there in the morning 01\09\2012 at 8:00 am. To start my career hopefuly.
-
That's what i say but they won't even do that. I suppose to be home on the 11th mt this morning in missouri and what do i get next, a load going to nebraska. last time i checked texas was south. Oh well take all the miles i can get i will get home in the spring time.

we do haul(or use to) out of Lincoln to Grand Prairie. Plus, depending on how close you are to Omaha, the Kelloggs plant ships south as well. I have pulled a load or two out of McCook to Houston lately.
Jan. is usually one of my better months for some reason. It's rare for me to see under 10k. June is the month I expect to do good, but normally get crappy miles.
and once again I'll say it...e-log sucks. Between that, this beeping(and reasonless brake checking) of the OnGuard system, this 'hanger queen' truck, and back to being ignored by op's... I may reconsider, again, my choice of careers. -
choices , choices...any good or bad about either would be great

No you're not the only one. I delivered early this morning in Waukegan I'll. Promptly got a msg about freight being short. No problem, headed back to the truck stop and did a load of laundry. I sat for a while and got a offer for a run of less than 150 miles...which picked up at 8pm tonight. I called the shipper and they told me that the load would be ready at 2pm. I also got a preload for a run to Arvada Co after this run is over.
I guess you have to take everything as a whole and not as one run...

Just waiting to deliver tonight after a 2000 mile (w/dh) run to squeeze in an 8. Silly CS wanted me to deliver last midnite. I ran as hard as possible and still had 7 hours left today to make it here....must think I am a team. A team of one. Isnt that the Army motto?
