The righteous labor union of the past no longer exist. They have been infiltrated and taken over by the hammer and sickle of the far left.
Just one of dozens of examples- Now stop coming off the porch or I will have to put you on a zip line out back- You are in the wrong forum for taking a political whoopin.

I drove the Blue truck for gordon it was great when Larry Gordon ran the show. But his kid steve gordon is a two time Washington state bar exam flunky! Any way that being said
gordon does have runs that only pay the driver for 1 miile but will take the driver 10 or more mile to do the job! As well as other runs are just as bad
they do have one that the driver is shorted 40 miles. Been on most of them run so the man is telling the truth but not all!
gordon use to have people in dispatch that use to drive truck but they are weeding them out and putting in thees kids fresh out of collage!
any way they train them to be your elog auditor and all that good stuff
on top of that one person will tell you to do things this way while a different person get mad at you for doing things that way. oh other trucking companies do that do they not?
What gordon is up to is trying to weed out all the old drivers the ones that they have to pay the bigger bucks! then at the same time replace them with people they can train to except the way gordon wants to run you! IE, 400 to 450 miles a day log from start to stop ad either driving or on duty not driving for a 11 hour to 14 hour day.
then you have to deal with some of gordons customers that are really teed off at gordon! No the kids are taking gordon down are road that will not work if you want to make money or need to make money gordon at this time i would say to avoid at all cost!
hey don't take my word just ask that driver in the blue truck that has been sitting for two days what he thinks!
As for the other post here about gordon, when they started getting those new cascadias i asked my dispatcher to put my name on one well he called me up and told me to stay away from them till i could not avoid it no longer it seems that that iteris system in thees trucks do allot more then stated and what he told me in most part stated here in some of the post
he told me he could watch you drive down the road in those trucks.
Mainly though what ever you do good bad and ugly, gordon documents so if something bad happens you know who's butt is going to be hung and who is going to help hang it
as for loyalty it is kind of one sided at gordon now that is why i left so did my dispatcher
but i will say is their any truly good trucking companies out here to work/drive for? YES will you find that company maybe once you go through 3,4,5,6 other companies first
i would say use gordon as your starter company as they are going to treat you the same way! just remember one thing all you do at gordon will be put into your record!! that is from that want to be lawyer steve gordon
is there any good at gordon ya but only if you can get on a dedicated run! -
I'd like to get back on the subject of this thread. I currently work for Gordon and no I am not a recruiter or a company man. I've been with Gordon now for 6 months and I like it. I am averaging anywhere from 2800 to 3500 miles per week. My paycheck is always dead on with what I work. Gordon pays practical miles and you can track the miles that you are going to get paid by using your macro-53 and reconcile that with your paycheck. I do not sit long and I've found that the drivers that are sitting are the ones that complain all the time. No there are not a slew of empty Gordon trailers around. My DM and fleet manager does not push me at all. I run how, and when I want. I am on e-logs and love it. You can message anyone in the company and get a response. I have personally e-mailed Steve Gordon and gotten a response. And the Dad, Larry Gordon still has his hands in the company it has not all gone to the kids. That is from Larry Gordons mouth when I met him just last month at the new terminal outside St. Louis. A lot of companys have problems but if you communicate with them they work with you. Gordon pays you detention pay and short haul pay so the gripe about doing local work is unfounded. I appreciate this forum but I really don't appreciate drivers that get on here and tell lies or bend the truth because they are mad they were terminated for their own making. Gordon is a decent company. They are growing and they are not in financial trouble. It's been my experience with this company that you get what you give. Too many times i pull in to a terminal and see the same drivers sitting in the drivers lounge. And a lot of these guys wonder why they aren't getting the miles. Well I say sit in the lounge and complain meanwhile drivers like myself will be out here on the road, door shut, and making money at 63mph. Sorry if I offend anyone but this has been my experience so far with Gordon.
ChargerChuck, garciamag and TB John Thank this. -
There is going to be bad stuff with every company! one company can not make every driver happy. Not that im saying GTI is the best out there I dont think there is a true awesome company out there. I guess whay im saying is of you want to work for a perfect company be a O/O and get all you own so you can pick and run like you want.
