Are there any particular companies that are recommended for a person who lives in IL?

What part of IL and what are you looking for?

If you are anywhere near stl and looking to do longhaul I can recommend Dynamic Transit out of Granite City, IL. I worked for them for 14mos and travelled a lot of miles. They also have guys running a sort of regional gig, but going west is where the money is made.

If you want something physical, Werner and Hogan run Dollar General dedicated out of Fulton, MO. You will usually get a 34 at home each week if you live near one of your drops, but that job will seriously whip your a55 into shape. I lost 30lb in 6mos pushing rolltainers around. That gig is nothing like running otr for werner, I really enjoyed it.

Hope that helps, but being more specific will help get you better answers. I was just throwing out my experiences in that neck of the woods.
