At 50 MPH average he\s making $14. an hour. That's deplorable.

 

Not sure but I don't think taco bell makes that much. But you have to figure if you don't get a backhaul the money is reduced by 50%.
My motto get enough to go and come back then if you're empty you're not pissed off. I think first couple years you're out here the brokers and companies can smell it and take full advantage of it. I think I made like 75-80 cents a mile total for the year. By the second year I had learned landstar don't care about no one and most of their loads are double brokered.
Starting on year six landstar is less than 20% of what I haul and I'm trying to make it zero %.

They go everywhere, yes a lot go to canada, but they go to all 50 states as well.

Yeah, nice road, too but it's a ##### to hold your breath that long.
