Just another example of a large company not caring who is driving the truck as long as they got them cheap. No reguard for how it makes the industry or themselves look, they just want a bargain steering wheel holder and wow did they get one here. This driver really knows his role, hold the wheel, not his responsability to get out and check the tires it's attached to or the rest of them either, lights, weight, fifth wheel, fluids levels and other mechanical things are a matter for the DOT and the warning lights on the dashboard.

Scary thought. Luckily for the driver, it was just a tire. Imagine if someone pulled his fifth wheel and the driver tried to take off without inspecting the truck.

I bet we'd be seeing some better pictures. And I further bet that the driver would be wandering the streets of El Paso out of work.

I imagine about the only wandering that this guy does is into the truck stop to get his 64oz's of Mountain Dew and 5 candy bars for breakfast.

EDIT: I can pretrip my entire truck without issues, and I have fairings from wheel to wheel.

I dont think this drivers weight has anything to do with the situation, there are perfectly healthy guys who dont do pretrips also......

I'm still trying to understand how fairings came into the topic, cover the whole truck all you want a flat tire is pretty hard to miss on a steer axle, heck I've never had any problems spotting flats even on a inside drive, but then again I do get out and look at the paint job before I drive away.

I'm a fat guy but I still manage to wedge myself between the drive tires to inspect the brakes and suspension.

This is just pure laziness at it's best. I hope I don't be this type of driver when I begin my career.

You hope you won't be? Or you won't be? It's a conscious decision.
