Looks like the wife and I will be going to May Trucking after an unsuccessful attempt to stay home. We used to drive for CR England and then Marten Transport but had an opportunity to take jobs at home, and we did. But, those jobs have fizzled out and going back OTR is just about the best thing we can do to cover our monthly expenses.
We do not roll as a team but rather do "Super Solo" and that works for us. Maybe an occasional team run to help out...
We've been working with a gal in Payette and loosly planning to start orientation on Jan. 24th.

    A few questions:

Does anyone know if they have inverters in the trucks ?

    How are the dispatchers ?

How are the miles for company drivers ?

They have inverters for $250. You cna pay upfront or have $25 taken out of your check/week. They are 2000 watt inverters.

My DM is awesome. I really appreciate what she does for me. Unfortunately they do not get you loads though. That is logistics/planning. Your DM can "ask" for loads, but nothing is guaranteed.

My miles last year averaged out to be 2250/week. Down 11.5k for the year over 2010. Others I assume got better and I know guys that had worse.

I think we might have a choice to do orientation at Brooks or Payette.
Anyone know which is the better location ?

Brooks might be better you can meet the brains of the operation.

Every terminal does it's own road test. Simple stuff.

But, every terminal does the same type of skills test.

Jersey Turn, straight back and a 45 angled back.
